A Sales Consultant at Honda of Frontenac is primarily responsible for providing knowledge and information, along with a low-pressure and transparent environment, for customers interested in purchasing or leasing a new or pre-owned vehicle.

Responsibilities
- Sell and deliver a minimum number of vehicles every month
- Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction
- Attend product and sales training courses and sales meetings as requested by manager
- Keep up to date on new products and services within the industry
- Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer on the showroom or lot
- Exhibit consultative selling skills – assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
- Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers
- Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase
- Maintain a follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction
- Maintain a prospect development system
- Log all customer interactions in store’s CRM system
- Turn 100% of closed deals to a finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork
- Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork
- Introduce customers to the service department personnel and emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the store’s service department
- Schedule the first service appointment
- Follow up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, “we-owes”, and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met
- Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively
- Support the store’s online reputation by facilitating customer reviews on different platforms (Google, Facebook, Yelp, Dealer Rater, etc.)
- Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner
- Maintain a positive attitude and be ready to work in a team environment every day
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- One year of automotive retail experience is preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Time management, prioritization, attention to detail, organization, ability to multitask
- Self-starter, ambitious, goal-oriented, can work independently and without supervision
- Comfortable using multiple methods of communication – text, email, video, phone, etc.
- Available to work flexible hours and weekends
- Open to learning new software systems
- Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
